    Description

    Azure Reliability team is a multidisciplinary engineering organization part of CXP dedicated to making, "Azure the safest and most reliable Cloud".

    Azure Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams strive to improve reliability fundamentals via software engineering, preferring long-lasting platform improvements delivered as engineering projects over repetitive manual operations.

    We contribute to the product fundamentals and architecture, share knowledge, and code, and prefer reuse over re-invention, always looking for ways to make what we build useful to multiple teams and products.

    We are loooking for a Senior Software Engineer. This role supports flexible work from home with occasional in-office meetings.

    Contributeto product architecture, helps create proposals, owns solutions, and ensures security and compliance. Assist in testing plans and automation features.
    Reviewcode for quality, reliability, and adherence to coding standards.
    Executeproject plans, breakdown work items, conductexperimentation, and support safe deployment of features.

    Managelive service operations, act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) on call, integrates telemetry data, and contributes to data analysis for system health.


    Engineering Excellence:
    Improve developer tools, contributeto automation in production, ensurecompliance with security and privacy, and staycurrent with industry developments.

    Maintaincommunication with key partners across the Microsoft ecosystem to achieve desirable user experiences and meet the dynamic needs of partners and customers through product development.

    Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.

    These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:


    Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

    This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

    Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
    OR Python

    Software Engineering IC- The typical base pay range for this role across the U.Microsoft will accept applications and processes offers for these roles on an ongoing basis.
