  • Food Handler, First Aid Certification & WHMIS is preferred
  • Minimum one year professional cooking experience in commercial food preparation or related role
  • Minimum of five (5) years food preparation experience, required
  • Minimum 3 years cooking experience in at least two different kitchen sections garde manger, banquets, a la carte, breakfast
  • Assists Chef & Sous Chef with menu ordering, inventory, and daily production planning
  • Preparation and production of menu items
  • Quality food preparation and cooking
  • Help in dish station as needed
  • Assures sanitary standards are upheld by delegating these duties amongst cooks helpers and porters
  • Maintains open communication and good relationships with others
  • Attends meetings and inservices for food production employees
  • Oversees preparation of all foods
  • Prepare daily production
  • Ability to weigh/scale, cut, shape
  • Physically able to stand for long periods of time
  • Physically able to lift +50lbs
  • Keeping a clean, organized and sanitary workspace at all times
  • Proper storage and rotation of all products
  • Able to read and follow recipes
  • Prepares food products to meet temperature and quality standards
  • Assemble food within appropriate time frames
  • Handle and prepare food in safe manner following HACCP standardized operating procedures
  • Document temperatures of food items and makes appropriate adjustments to achieve standards
  • Sanitizes equipment and work area per assigned schedules and designated procedure
  • Takes responsibility for self and others in work area

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 3 months

Part-time hours: 35 per week


Salary:
$17.50-$18.00 per hour
