The northern operations of Miller Paving Limited, centrally located in New Liskeard, Ontario, is devoted to being a great place to work where people are inspired to be the best they can be.

Our Northern divisions have also expanded services to include bridge construction as well.

A sampling of our wide range of services includes:
Roads and highways (new construction and rehabilitation), bridges, culverts and concrete pavement structures and entranceways & parking lots.

As a Quality Control Technician, You Will:

Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment by complying with all safety guidelines
Perform onsite and laboratory testing (Material Sampling, Compaction, Coring)
Collect asphalt and aggregate samples from the field.
Maintain detailed records with sample information and locations
Use portable nuclear density gauge to determine material densities
Communicate with site personnel to coordinate sampling schedule
Other Duties as required

What You'll Bring:

G License and Clean Driver's Abstract
Technical knowledge of aggregate and asphalt quality considered an asset
Excellent communications skills
Must be attending postsecondary school in civil engineering (preferred)
Team player
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Combatable towing and reversing a pickup truck and trailer
Available to work outdoors, days, evening, nights and weekend
Overnight out of town travel required
