Job Overview:

Avid Group is looking for an
Order Picker to join our team.

The Order Picker plays a pivotal role in our apparel production process, responsible for accurately selecting and preparing apparel products for shipment based on customer orders.

This role requires attention to detail, precision, and a commitment to ensuring that orders are picked and packed with the utmost care to meet customer expectations.


Responsibilities:

Order Selection:


  • Retrieve customer orders from our system and review them for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify the required apparel items, sizes, and quantities specified in each order.

Picking Process:


  • Navigate the warehouse to locate and gather the necessary apparel products.
  • Ensure the accuracy of items picked by matching them with order details.
  • Organize picked items for efficient packing and shipping.

Quality Control:


  • Inspect apparel items for quality, ensuring they meet our standards before packing.
  • Identify and segregate any damaged or defective items for further assessment.

Packing:


  • Carefully package selected apparel items in accordance with packaging guidelines.
  • Securely seal and label packages to prevent damage during transit.

Order Documentation:


  • Document the completion of order picking and update relevant records.
  • Generate packing slips and other necessary documentation to accompany shipments.

Collaboration:


  • Work closely with the fulfillment, shipping, and quality control teams to ensure order accuracy and timely processing.
  • Communicate any discrepancies or issues with orders to the relevant departments.

Cleanliness and Organization:


  • Maintain a tidy and organized work area, ensuring that materials are stored appropriately.
  • Dispose of packaging materials and waste responsibly.

Safety and Compliance:


  • Adhere to safety protocols when handling products and operating equipment.
  • Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or training is a plus.
  • Previous experience as an order picker, warehouse associate, or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Must be experienced with order picker/forklift/other operating material handling equipment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in order selection, quality control, and packaging.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
  • Basic computer skills for order documentation and inventory management.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members.
  • Physical capability to lift and move packages of varying weights.
