Duties:


The Coordinator's role provides support services to various administrative responsibilities to ensure program delivery support, process development and implementation, consistency and accuracy in service delivery.


  • Support workplace health, safety and wellness initiatives and programs by providing administrative services to the Branch and clients.
  • Provides administrative support during the complaint investigation process.
  • Work with and/or develops tools and processes to support program initiatives.
  • Manage and maintain the generic mailbox.
  • Communicates procedures to clients and external partners.
  • Coordinate events and meetings related to health, safety and wellness.
  • Prepare administrative documents such as reports, presentations and correspondences related to health, safety and wellness in the workplace.
  • Provide support services to the team for their daytoday activities.
  • Assists in internal procedures and process development.
  • Conduct followups, various types of research and information gathering to support the development of products and services or to support the Deputy Chief, or the Senior Advisors in their functions.
  • Upon request, create the electronic requisitions in the finance system to generate the purchasing or payment process for services or goods required by the Branch.

A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in occupational health and safety, human resources management, industrial relations, public or business administration, organizational development, or in any other area relevant to the work to be performed OR an acceptable combination of experience, training or education.

EXPERIENCES:

EX1.

Experience in developing, implementing or coordinating OHS programs or supporting workplace wellness initiatives and providing workplace health, safety and wellness services.

EX2.

Experience in case management or providing case management support related to health, safety and well-being, including managing processes for resolving workplace violence and harassment complaints.

EX3. Experience in coordinating events and meetings in the workplace.

EX4.

Experience in preparing administrative documents such as reports, minutes, presentations, statistics for senior management, databases, tracking systems and correspondence related to occupational health, safety and well-being.

EX5.

Experience in providing support services to a team or directorate such as purchasing services or equipment, tracking expenditures and budgets, etc.

ASSETS

EXPERIENCES:

AE1. Experience in developing, implementing or coordinating workplace psychological health programs.

AE2. Experience in facilitating training sessions.

AE3. Experience in providing disability management support services related to workplace accidents or personal medical conditions.


AE4.Experience with the methodology and process required to develop a hazard prevention program and/or workplace violence and harassment prevention program.

AE5.Experience working in a security or law enforcement environment.

AE6. Experience working in a federal institution including Crown Corporations and Separate Agencie
