Job Description:


Job Summary:

The R&D team is responsible for the design and development of Intelerad's products. As a member of Research & Development, you are expected to be involved in a variety of different tasks.

Project assignment is based upon the best fit between the business needs of the company, your skill set and your interests.

For the near term, your focus will be driving the continuous improvements of our Agile Project Management process, coordinating our releases and managing strategic cross-functional projects.


Supervisory Responsibilities:


  • On a daytoday basis, help coordinate and organize the team to fulfill the operational responsibilities
  • Help onboard and train new team members

Duties/Responsibilities:


Release Management and Operations

  • Monitor the preparation of release forms
  • Management of stop deploys
  • Answer questions from Client-Facing teams
  • Coordinate planning process, monitoring and the closure of our release cycles
  • Coordinate the early adopter phase of the major releases and a smooth transition to General Availability
  • Support the integration of newly acquired companies into our process

Agile Project Management

  • Provide training, best practices and drive continuous improvements for the assigned scrum teams
  • Support the integration of newly acquired companies into our process

  • Create and execute project plans based on Intelerad Project Development Procedures
  • Effectively apply, provide guidance on and enforce project standards
  • Responsible for all deliverables of the Intelerad Project Development Procedures
  • Identify resources needed to complete a project
  • Manage daytoday operational aspects of a project and scope
  • Monitor and identify mitigations for project risks
  • Provide statistical information for management to assess project status
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately

Leadership

  • Help resolve crossfunctional dependencies by leading departmental scrumofscrum meetings
  • Provide feedback and recommend improvements to R&D project management tools and processes, and QMS procedures
  • Lead release planning and annual roadmap activities to coordinate stakeholders and R&D leaders to form a plan
  • Lead integration initiatives with newly acquired R&D teams to roll out standard Intelerad Agile methodology

Qualifications:


Required Experience/Skills:


  • 5+ years of experience as a professional in a project management role
  • Possess general understanding in the areas of software development, testing, and deployment
  • Understand Agile software development methodologies
  • Bachelors in Business Administration or a related field in an asset
  • Experience with medical devices or in the medical imaging industry is considered a plus

Desired Competencies:


  • Possess knowledge of issue tracking and project management tools such as Atlassian JIRA. Derive appropriate statistics from these tools.
  • Possess good understanding of project management requirements imposed by regulatory bodies.
