Sudbury is also home to several administrative sites serving both the Ontario Operations as well as all our North Atlantic Operations.


The Opportunity:


We are currently seeking a Planner, Mobile - Long range (Supervisor, Services) to join our North Atlantic Energy team in Sudbury.

This is a permanent position.


The job holder will continuously improve the work team (crew) performance through the effective use of established processes and procedures.

In this role, as a Planner, Mobile - Long range you will be accountable for planning and scheduling primarily for Mobile Equipment maintenance and the 52 Week combined schedule for all areas but not necessarily limited to that discipline.


Accountabilities

  • Work Monday to Friday, 8 hours day shift.
  • Required to work on location, at the site, both office and fieldwork.
  • Adhere to maintenance business processes in Maintenance Planning and Control (MPC) by using approved systems, tools, and standards.
  • Establish and maintain work relationships with the various key plant stakeholders including other Supervisors, planners/schedulers, superintendents, etc.
  • Perform "Planning and Scheduling Work" element of the process for all types of work orders systematic and nonsystematic maintenance. This includes shutdown work and other projectrelated work.
  • Coordinate and facilitate all planning/scheduling management routines.
  • Organize and manage regular routine maintenance planning scheduling and control, maintenance execution, operating, and team meetings.
  • Manage the daily backlog.
  • Gather daily hour meter/usage data for key fleet equipment.
  • Plan/Schedule Mobile equipment / Fleet Maintenance.
  • Coordinate mobile equipment services on offsite.
  • Plan/Schedule work orders for execution prior to the Required End Date for the various disciplines including Maintenance, Operations and Contractor work centers.
  • Review the work order status (and any other work defined for their area) daily:
  • To plan/schedule newly approved work orders
  • To assist in setting an integrated plan and schedule
  • To track upcoming work
  • Provide input into the 52week map with all customers in the Ontario Operations.
  • Identify and escalate all critical issues that threaten the successful planning/scheduling of work orders for completion by their Required End Date, or when there is a requirement for additional downtime and/or resources.
  • Escalate as required when work on critical assets may not be completed by the Required End Date.
  • Work collaterally across departments and plants, to ensure the proper communication of timing and impact of operating performance of planned/scheduled tasks by the Required End Date for work completion.
  • Plan and Schedule tasks to minimize the demand for resources without exceeding the Required End Date for work completion.
  • Manage and adjust resource capacities within SAP to reflect actual resource availability.
  • Printing and making available all committed and scheduled work to the applicable parties.
  • Manage visual management work tools for maintenance planning and control, maintenance execution, and operating work groups, via Floor Management Development System (FMDS).
  • Procurement of parts and equipment as required to satisfy planning/scheduling tasks required end dates.
  • Obtain parts in equipment down situations to ensure equipment is operational.
  • Achieve maintenance planning and execution KPI targets.
  • Provide supervisor backup relief as required.

About You

Education:

A Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Technician, or trade certificate in electrical or Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

Generic Supervisor Common Core is preferred.


Experience:


  • 3 years of experience with SAP and the Prometheus addon, planning and scheduling, and procurement is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supervision of trades personnel.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Electrical / Mechanical field.
  • Multidiscipline trades knowledge and experience are preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
