Summary:


The procurement analyst is part of the Bell Procurement team and is responsible for supporting reporting and analytics that is vital to its operations.

The procurement analyst will create and provide reports both internally and externally, that will help with strategic decision-making as well as measure effectiveness.

We are looking for someone that is comfortable with data and technology, a quick learner, and able to work with a variety of stakeholders.


The Bell Procurement team strives to deliver the best total cost of ownership through a world-class supply base - maximizing customer satisfaction through exemplary service and support.

We partner with internal client groups to establish supplier relationships that provide access to emerging technologies, supply continuity and speed to market in support of profitable, new revenue.

We employ ethical practices across our end-to-end process, including supplier diversity and environmental practices, while operating efficiently through the use of electronic commerce.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting management data to support decisions on daytoday operations, strategic planning and specific business performance issues.
  • Support Procurement's Directors, Senior Managers, Category Managers and Business Units in the gathering and analysis of data in an efficient and customized manner.
  • Support active strategic sourcing teams by serving as an analytics coach and assisting buyers with spend analysis.
  • Support longterm category management by developing automated tools and solutions that will ensure effective knowledge management transfer and continual scrutiny of category.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of integrated endtoend tools and processes that support the procurement activities
  • Continually identify leading practices from inside and outside of Bell for implementation and adoption
  • Identify, develop, suggest, and manage specific tools that will support driving results in different categories and define associated training programs, including but not limited to:
  • Excel-Based Analytics
  • Data Patterns and Anomalies
  • Building a Spend Dashboard

Critical Qualifications:


  • University degree in computer science, data analytics, business, supply chain, or other related fields
  • Thorough understanding of financial concepts
  • Thorough understanding and expertise in data manipulation, sorting and analysis tools (Access, Excel, etc.)
  • Proficient with the MS Office suite (especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint);
  • Knowledge of SQL programming language.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Knowledge and experience with statistics
  • Proven ability to create unique solutions to manage and/or analyze data
  • Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships across multiple levels and stakeholders group
  • Highly developed communication, presentation, reporting and writing skills, Aptitude to prepare presentations with mínimal guidance and effectively presenting and influencing at senior levels of the organization.
  • Proven sound business judgement and acumen
  • Some negotiation aptitude
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize while working independently
  • Must have flexibility to work extended hours to meet deliverables when necessary

Preferred Qualifications:


  • 13 years of general procurement function or data analysis experience
  • Relevant industry experience telecommunications if possible
  • Knowledge of SAP and IVALUA
  • Ability to prepare and write clear and accurate reports
  • Bilingual: English and French
