Design and develop data models:

The data modeler is responsible for designing and developing data models that represent the structure and relationships of an organization's data.

This includes creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models that reflect business requirements.

Collaborate with stakeholders:

The data modeler collaborates with stakeholders, including business analysts, data scientists, and software developers, to understand their requirements and ensure that the data models meet their needs.


Document data models:

The data modeler documents the data models, including data dictionaries, metadata, and other relevant information, to ensure that they are well-understood and can be easily maintained.


Maintain data models:

The data modeler is responsible for maintaining the data models over time, ensuring that they remain up-to-date with changes in the business requirements and technology.


Ensure data quality:

The data modeler is responsible for ensuring the quality of the data in the models, including data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and validity.


Evaluate and recommend data technologies:

The data modeler evaluates and recommends data technologies that can support the data models, including data management systems, data integration tools, and data visualization software.


Provide data-related expertise: The data modeler provides data-related expertise to stakeholders, including recommendations for data architecture, data governance, and data standards.
