The Yukon public service has a unique opportunity for recent graduates who have a post-secondary diploma or degree but lack real-world work experience.

The Department of Environment has an intern opportunity for a Project Officer.

This position reports to the Manager, Site Assessment and Remediation Unit, while working with other staff, client contacts and contractors to manage environmental and assessment projects with the support of the SARU Project Managers and Program Manager.

The position will undertake site inspections for assessment and remediation projects and assist in groundwater and surface water monitoring programs; provide input to short
- and long-term unit planning; and provide technical and process support to other areas within the Yukon Government.

This position will work for a one-year Term from approximately May 2024 to April 2025. The salary will be 80% of the starting salary -
$68,180

Essential Qualifications

Experience conducting research and writing reports is an asset.
