This is on onsite position for a resort in Northern Ontario.

The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the General Laborer works with the Maintenance Manager to provide hands on quality service within the Maintenance department in a safe, courteous, efficient and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Maintenance team with other duties like garbage removal, set up and take down of special events
Repair deficiencies throughout the resort
Assist the Maintenance team with upkeep and maintenance of Lodge equipment and amenities
Assist with the maintenance of the pool including cleaning and testing
Assist with landscaping and grass cutting when required
All other duties as assigned

Key Goals

Provide outstanding customer service in an efficient and professional manner

- assist the maintenance team with the day-to-day operations. And all other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Must be able to understand, speak, read and write English at a high school level.
Knowledge of hotel property, facilities, history and region
Able to perform highquality work while unsupervised.
High school diploma I preferred
Knowledge of General Maintenance
Experience using lawn equipment and basic tools considered an asset

Supervision & Budget Authority

This role does not have any supervisory or budgetary authority

Physical Environment

Job requires you to be on your feet 100% of your shift.
Be in good physical condition to perform extensive walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, reaching and stretching.
Indoors and outdoor
Utilizing equipment and cleaning products.
Must be able to lift 40lbs
Must be able to work in a fast paced, sometimes noisy environment

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
$17.00-$20.00 per hour
