- Certification as a Dental Assistant from an accredited program.
- Current licensure and registration as a Dental Assistant in British Columbia.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- A passion for patient care and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Assisting the dentist during a variety of dental procedures
- Taking and scanning dental radiographs
- Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse
- Serving as an infection control officer, preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
- Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
- Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling)
- Taking impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth)
- Communicating with patients, technicians and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies)
- Inputting treatment billing codes and record appointment notes in our dental software (Tracker)

$30.00-$35.00 per hour
