What we would like you to have...

• Certification as a Dental Assistant from an accredited program.
• Current licensure and registration as a Dental Assistant in British Columbia.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.

What you will be responsible for...

• Assisting the dentist during a variety of dental procedures
• Taking and scanning dental radiographs
• Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse
• Serving as an infection control officer, preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
• Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
• Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling)
• Taking impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth)
• Communicating with patients, technicians and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies)
• Inputting treatment billing codes and record appointment notes in our dental software (Tracker)

$30.00-$35.00 per hour
