The Opportunity
We are looking for an API Integrations Specialist to join our Software Engineering team for a permanent full time position in our downtown Vancouver office

As an API Integration Specialist, you will play a key role in new and existing implementations of integrations with our partners.

Together with your team, you will give our customers access to new payment rails and solutions and help make VoPay a one-stop shop for all payment processing.

Leveraging your outstanding attention to detail, quality and communication skills, you will identify, implement, test and deploy these solutions.

You will be working as part of a friendly, cross-discipline agile team who help each other solve problems across all functions.

As a custodian of client trust, you will employ best practice in development, security, accessibility, and design to achieve the highest quality of service for our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement new integration solutions based on the integration requirements.
Gathering requirements by working directly with our Partners & Internal Stakeholders.
Effectively communicate, across many channels, your progress with your team & stakeholders.
Troubleshoot code and configuration issues in all managed environments (test and production).

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Proficiency working with PHP, or with other serverside languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, or.

Net (PHP preferred)

Proficiency working with MySQL or other database servers
Strong experience with REST APIs
Experience in a managed solution or SaaS environment
Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Aurora is a strong plus.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Good problemsolving skills.
