This is a non-union position for the Eve Shift - 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm. The training will be conducted on the day shift from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm for approx. 6 months.

Carfair Composites is a leader in fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) design and composites technology and has dedicated team members located in facilities between Winnipeg, MB (Canada), St. Cloud, MN (USA), and Anniston, AL (USA), Wausaukee, WI (USA) and Gillett, WI (USA).

***Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general Booth cleaning for facility equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance and assisting other techs with repairs/maintenance work.


Essential functions:


  • Clean paint booths and get ready for production use
  • Maintains and clean all equipment and machinery in the Plant
  • Maintains and updates the maintenance log
  • Monitors the use inventories of maintenance supplies and equipment (cleaning related)
  • Makes recommendations for improving plant operations and efficiency
  • Communicates directly with supervisors and operations departments to coordinate cleaning and improvements in process areas
  • Cleans the property structures as required
  • Assist other maintenance technicians with repairs and maintenance work
  • Mechanical maintenance and repairs on all plant's equipment as required
  • Routine Maintenance and repairs on Air
  • Makeup and Exhaust equipment as required
  • Maintain maintenance records on all equipment and vehicles
  • Work in dusty, humid and noisy environments
  • Follow health and safety policies and procedures
  • Perform other related duties assigned

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Capable of working on heights
  • Ability to solve basic problems that may arise on the job
  • Knowledge of Mechanical, Hydraulic, And Pneumatic systems in dayday tasks for the job
  • Ability to prioritize important work and able to respond to emergencies in a timely manner
  • Ability to work in all areas of the plant and perform many different types of jobs required to keep the building and equipment in good standing
  • Must have basic computer skills be able to read, understand and receive work orders digitally
  • Must be able to train in Forklift, Scissor lift and Boom lift 5ton Truck
  • Ability to function within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50lb and should be in overall good physical health
  • 10 % travel (Between plant and to contractors)
