Facilities Manager
FFUN Developments, Headquarters, Saskatoon, SK**Our FFUN Development Division is growing, and we are looking for a
Facilities Manager to join our team. Are you someone
_who loves to get their "hands dirty"_ so-to-speak? This is a "hands on" position which means that you will be working on-site, performing visits, daily inspections all while providing end-to-end
_ facilities oversight and management_.
Responsibilities
- Perform building and property inspections
- Plan, engage, direct and overall management of vendors
- Manage waste and recycling programs to help with our sustainability efforts
- Educate internal business partners on preventative maintenance and store conditions
- Problem solves, troubleshoot, and repair items in all categories of maintenance including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, appliances, plumbing, and carpentry
- Oversee and make decisions regarding budgets, legal compliance, capital planning, project management
- Establish work priorities/direction and work schedules for the maintenance staff
- Coordinate and prioritize the distribution of repair maintenance orders and planned maintenance orders
- Train, motivate and manage maintenance staff, ensuring exceptional performance and service standards
- Ensure the necessary resources, functional tools and equipment are readily available
- Maintain facilities and equipment by conducting inspections to determine needs, extent of service, equipment required, type of operation and maintenance personnel needed
- Manage the capital expenditure and serve for all fixture, features and equipment
- Aware of all chemicals (cleaners/tools) used on the job and follow WHMIS safety procedures
- Develop and promote energy conservation programs by continually monitoring utility costs and consumption
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Experience in facilities, construction or related mechanical trade with experience managing service, maintenance staff and vendors
- Working knowledge and understanding of building systems and infrastructure
- Intermediate computer skills, MS Office suite
- Working knowledge of electrical distribution, some construction terminology, basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
- Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools
- Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings
- Ability to travel to various sites within and outside the province as required (outside of province travel 10% per year)
- Flexibility and willingness to work after normal business hours, on nights or weekends to complete work assignments or handle unplanned emergency situations
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary $70,000$80,000/year dependent on experience
