Cultural Heritage Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cultural Heritage Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for providing advocacy and representation, collaboration and engagement, cultural stewardship and community engagement, referral response, education, research and program development to protect and celebrate Lax Kw'alaams culture and heritage.

• Advocate for the protection of Lax Kw'alaams culture and heritage through policy development, community outreach and stakeholder engagement;
• Collaborate with government agencies, industry proponents and other First Nations on projects that impact our territory;
• Develop educational programs to promote awareness of Lax Kw'alaams culture and history;
• Analyze data from archaeological sites to inform resource management decisions;
