About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Technician to support our service technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of conveyor belts and related equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or advance a career in industrial mechanics, conveyor systems, and vulcanization techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist service technicians during conveyor belt installation and maintenance activities
- Facilitate and maintain tools and equipment needed during job tasks
- Operating company vehicles
- Perform belt changes on customers' sites
- Perform required adjustments for new belt installations (e.g., counterweights, pulley alignment)
- Setup of vulcanization equipment and rigging tools
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace at job sites and in the workshop
- Contribute to improvements of tools and equipment
- Participate in internal/external training for equipment and safety
- Support continuous improvement in productivity, equipment maintenance, and product quality
- Follow all safety rules and procedures at client sites and in the workshop
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Vocational diploma in Industrial Mechanics or equivalent experience (asset)
Technical Skills
- Strong manual/mechanical aptitude
- Ability to take accurate measurements and convert between imperial and metric units
- Basic math skills
- Valid driver's licence and reliable access to a vehicle
- Knowledge of industrial mechanics (asset)
- Bilingualism – English and French (asset)
Education & Experience
- Vocational diploma in Industrial Mechanics or equivalent experience (asset)

Pay Range
- Between $25/hour (minimal to no industry knowledge or equivalent experience) to $40+/hour (technical expert in rubber conveyor belting)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $26.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
