Reporting to the Manager, Emergency Department (ED) Mississauga Hospital this person will be responsible for assisting with the coordination of schedules and payroll in the Emergency Department.

They will work with the Unit Scheduling Coordinators and Payroll Coordinators to fill planned and unplanned absences and assist with completion of payroll and scheduling.


Duties include:


  • Develop schedules for all staff in the ED
  • Enter payroll for the Emergency Department
  • Build and maintain schedules and coordinate vacation requests
  • Implement and maintain a database of staff availability and contact information, and suitability
  • Maintain effective communication within the ED team
  • Must be able to work in a professional, cooperative and effective manner with all fellow staff and clients

Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary Medical Administration Diploma preferred
  • Experience with scheduling models is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills to appropriately manage and prioritize scheduling demands
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently under stressful conditions
  • Excellent customer service skills and commitment to Trillium Health Partners values compassion, excellence and courage
  • Satisfactory performance and attendance required
