POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are currently seeking a Mechanic and, in the role, your primary function is to troubleshoot, monitor, adjust, maintain and repair manufacturing equipment and machinery throughout the production facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining the form and texture of parts.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Responsible for monitoring, scheduling, and documenting all oil changes and other maintenance that is required on a regular basis by the manufacturer of the equipment
• Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment.
• Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machine and equipment.
• Record parts and materials used, and order or requisition new parts and materials as necessary. Record repairs and maintenance performed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Exposure to mechanical devices, pneumatic controls, and welding/cutting.
• Must have experience in an industrial environment.
• Must be able to read mechanical drawings.
• Must be able to work shifts as well as some extended hours and weekends.
• Qualified applicants will have good interpersonal and problemsolving skills and be able to work with other trades and operators.
• Welder experience
• General maintenance of equipment / Oil changes / Bearing changes / trouble shooting tractors when required
• Hands on working with tools

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a routine basis.
• Must be able to walk and/or stand 5075% of the shift
