is currently recruiting for a full-time Coordinator, Community Inclusion.**
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Non-Union, Perm. Full-Time)

Rygiel Supports for Community Living is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals in the community who have a developmental disability, as well as other varying abilities.

Our mandate is to enable each person to lead a fulfilled and participatory life within the community.


Rygiel will be embarking on the "Journey to Belonging: Choice and Inclusion." This initiative lays out the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services long-term vision for developmental services in Ontario.

Our goal is to ensure that people with developmental disabilities are fully supported to participate in their communities.


Position Summary
The Coordinator of Community Inclusion will oversee the respite care programs, manage passport funding, and coordinate fee-for-service initiatives. This role involves ensuring high-quality service delivery, compliance with funding requirements, and the development of sustainable community partnerships.


Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Manage Respite Programs: Co-design and implement respite care services that meet the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

Facilitate Passport Funding: Administer/grow passport funding, ensuring that individuals and families receive the support they are entitled to, and that funding is used effectively.

Coordinate Fee-for
  • Service Offerings: Establish and maintain fee for service options that provide additional support to individuals and generate revenue for the organization.

Community Engagement: Build relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and service providers to enhance program offerings and identify new opportunities for collaboration.

Accountability: Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, implement improvements, and ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Financial Management: Work with families to manage budgets.

Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to staff and volunteers involved in program delivery, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.


Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a diploma in Community Services, Developmental Services Professional or a related field.
  • Experience in program coordination, preferably within the nonprofit or social services sector.
  • Knowledge of developmental disabilities and experience working with individuals with diverse needs.

Skills & Requirements:


  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on community engagement and partnership development.
  • Proficiency in financial management and budgeting.
  • Solid initiative and problemsolving skills to anticipate and overcome obstacles in a timely manner.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, manage competing demands and develop realistic action plans.
  • Proficiency with technology including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams), and other software programs.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Must provide a valid 'G' class driver's license have access to own vehicle vehicle for community visits.
  • A current and original copy of a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check is required upon the start of your employment.

Sensory and Physical Effort
Involves regular hours with flexibility, various physical actions of mobility are required, i

e:
driving, mínimal lifting, standing, walking, reaching and bending. Moderate to maximum eye motion, wrist and digit motions. Concentration, memory and focus throughout the workday.
