Position overview:


As the full-time Merrithew Studio Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to act as a brand ambassador and the first point of contact for our dedicated client base.

You will be tasked with providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that clients have a positive experience from the moment they step into the studio.

You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Merrithew studio, including managing client relationships, scheduling appointments, coordinating with Pilates instructors, maintaining equipment, selling private and group training packages and retail products, and ensuring a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all clients.


Additionally, you will work alongside the Manager CTC/Studio to implement promotional and outreach efforts directed towards new client acquisition and retention.

This includes a sales component to drive revenue and build client loyalty.

Reporting to the Manager CTC/Studio, this role requires exemplary customer service and includes a variety of administrative and sales tasks.


Major responsibilities:


  • Assist in the scheduling and account maintenance of both Private and Group Class clients. This includes scheduling clients and selling packages to suit their fitness needs while accurately maintaining each client's account
  • Manage the expectations of clients by effectively communicating our Studio's unique structure and the policies that govern it thereby allowing us to provide clear and consistent service
  • Anticipate client needs and accommodate to the best of our ability
  • Manage client account balances and ensuring that accounts are always up to date
  • Escalate issues to Studio Manager as necessary
  • Identify and execute effective retention strategies to improve client retention and customer satisfaction
  • Work with Studio Manager and fellow Studio Coordinators to identify effectiveness or current services and/or the opportunity for new service offerings
  • Responsible for working with Studio Manager to direct, promote and run Studiorelated events as needed
  • Take actionable steps to increase new client acquisition, improve retention and drive revenue growth
  • Collaborate and provide support to our Corporate Training Center (CTC) which operates as a counterpart to the Studio
  • Assist with facilitating a smooth Studio experience for all current Education students
  • In charge or the Apprenticeship Program managing apprentice orientation, scheduling, inquires and ensuring apprentices uphold company standards for the entire duration of their program
  • Act as mentor and guide to parttime studio coordinators as the need arises
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and qualifications:


  • Winning personality with a genuine drive and enthusiasm promoting health and fitness
  • Minimum of 2 years' customer service and administrative experience
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • Experience in a client focused business, impeccable communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated success working under pressure and adhering to deadlines
  • An energetic, gogetter attitude with strong work ethic and professionalism
  • Demonstrable talent working with Microsoft Office Suite, most importantly Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Experience working with MindBody Online and POS software an asset, as is experience with scheduling
  • Post Secondary Education in Business Administration or equivalent field an asset
