    Heavy Equipment Technician: Apprentice or Journeyman


    Calgary, Alberta

    JT Equipment is a fast paced and growing equipment solutions provider. We are currently seeking an Apprentice or Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician.     Responsibilities and Duties

    • Completing quality repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of construction equipment
    • Completing preventative maintenance services as set out by checklists
    • Identify possible failures before they lead to downtime
    • Complete equipment diagnostics and effectively communicate findings
    • Overhaul and major repairs on components
    • Maintain a clean and professional work environment at all times

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Exceptional attitude and understanding of the demands of the construction equipment industry
    • Good communication skills
    • Journeyman H.E.T. technician 3rd or 4th year apprentice
    • Equipment experience valued but not required, we welcome highway and automotive technicians looking for a change
    • Have a complete set of hand and air tools. Specialty diagnostic equipment and large tools will be supplied
    • Physically fit and able to meet the demands of heavy equipment repairs
    • Dealership experience and training considered an asset
    • Proficient with equipment diagnostics, hydraulic and electrical, considered an asset
    • Able to read and apply electrical and hydraulic schematics to assist in diagnostics

    Experience

    • Mechanical: 2 years
