Scope of Position
What You Need To Be Successful:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business or Finance)
- Minimum of 45 years of experience in similar or related position
- Experience using Shareworks for LTIP and Share based programs
- Knowledge of DB pension plans is an asset
- Lean Six Sigma traing or Greenbelt certification an asset
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Interest in business, compensation and financial concepts
- Structured, organized and independent
- High attention to detail. Capable of performing quality work within tight deadlines to meet the objectives
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise a high level of tact, discretion, and diplomacy
- Effective communication skills, including excellent written, oral and presentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Executive compensation
- Work closely with the Legal team in the preparation of the annual proxy circular. Prepare all tables related to the disclosures and provide write ups
- Prepare LTIP reporting for finance and legal disclosures on a regular cadence
- Support audits as it relates to the LTIP program
- Administer and support Chemtrade's Long Term Incentive Program through Shareworks
- Primary contact for Chemtrade's executive leadership (Senior Leadership team
- SLT) to provide accurate, timely information on executive programs.
- Manage the yearend compensation administration for the SLT.
- Manage all unique and special compensation arrangements for Executive Management. Collaborate with external consultants, finance and payroll as needed.
- Create effective executive compensation communications. Prepare educational material for participants and hold information sessions.
- Provide input into Board Memos
- Document executivelevel procedures, policies, and controls. Maintain and monitor our current processes, make recommendations to improve and provide solutions to increase efficiency.
- Maintain a working knowledge of current and emerging legal, regulatory and legislative requirements and impacts to compensation programs.
- Monitor and report on all other Executive compensation programs (e.g. incentive compensation, benefits, disability programs etc) and other Executive perks
Unit Purchase Plan
- Manage the administration of the Unit Purchase Plan for employees of Chemtrade.
- Respond to employee questions.
- Prepare UPP reporting for legal disclosures on a regular cadence.
- Collaborate with the Total Rewards Manager to support analytics, run information sessions and increase participation and engagement in the program
DB Pension Plan
- Support the regulatory requirements and filing for the DB pension plans in US and Canada
- Support the audit of all DB Plans and respond to annual external audits in a timely fashion
- Main point of contact with Finance, Payroll and outside vendors for all DB pension related matters
- Respond to participants, including retirees on queries as they arise
Strategic Initiatives
- Using Lean Six Sigma thinking, work with other HR teams to review and build out scalable HR processes.
- Use analytics to propose and drive change within HR and the organization
- Lead Strategic Workforce Planning initiatives in close partnership with other HR teams
- Lead HR functional initiatives to support any future M&A activity
- Support other HR teams with complex projects as needed
