PROMOTIONS AND EVENTS COORDINATOR
Trev Deeley Motorcycles is currently seeking a Full-Time Promotions and Events Coordinator to start immediately. This position coordinates the events and other promotional activities of the dealership. This person also supports and works closely with all the other departments.

This position helps in developing and promoting our social media strategy and online presence.

This will be accomplished by creating social media campaigns, posts, and programs by implementing best practices and using various social media channels and our website.

Qualifications & Job Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of best practices for social media platforms
  • Strong computer, video, photography, and graphic design skills and programs
  • Strong understanding of social media strategy, search engine optimization, and web traffic metrics. Measures, tracks, and communicates their success
  • Proven ability to work well as a member of a team
  • Provides constructive feedback and data
  • Strong time management, creative and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable with public speaking and interviews
  • Develop strong business relationships with others
  • Valid BC class 5 license and can freely enter the USA (Class 6 motorcycle license a strong asset)
  • Enthusiasm for the Harley-Davidson brand and the sport of motorcycling
  • Continual learning attitude and respects our Customers for Life philosophy
  • Strong organizational and prioritizing skills
  • Works on and offsite when needed
  • Assist with the annual advertising/media budget and responsible for keeping within costs of the budget

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and implement our social media strategy using platforms such as, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, etc.
  • Generate, publish, and share daily social media content to establish meaningful connections and encourage action within the community
  • Responsible for website consistency and effectiveness while keeping it current
  • Supports our online store.
  • Works closely with all department managers and supports their needs
  • Identify critical social media KPI's and best practices, and modify accordingly
  • Optimize company pages for maximum visibility of the company's social media content
  • Promotes all store events and campaigns through social media and in store signage, posters, postcards, handouts, contest entry forms, etc. Assists the team where required
  • Drives and tracks qualified sales leads, and store traffic
  • Increase market share and New Motorcycle Sales growth in our DAT (Dealer Assigned Territory)
  • Supports and promotes our local Harley Owners Group Chapters and attends meetings when required and keeps HOG website section current.
  • Ability to recruit and work well with volunteers
  • Ensure all forms of marketing follow the Harley-Davidson MAP policy and any other corporate guidelines
  • Assists to grow the CRM and other databases.
  • Promotes and supports our sponsored rider training school
  • Constructs and distributes monthly newsletters, Eblasts, announcements etc
  • Document and manage a database of online credentials (secure passwords library)
  • Maximizes effectiveness of assigned ad/marketing budget
  • Organizes media/public speaking opportunities when required
  • Protect and promote the TDMC brand, image, and reputation
  • Works positively with local charities, riding groups, and other organizations to promoting our brand, dealership in the community and industry
  • Coordinates events, rides, displays and promotions with/for other departments.
  • Ensures all waivers, permits, insurance and licenses are in place when needed.
  • May be involved with contracts with social influencers etc.
  • Attend and complete any training and educational courses as required
  • Attends meetings when required.
  • Respects store polices and all staff guidelines within our Employee Manual

Working conditions:

  • Office/desk environment, storage and service areas and retail showroom
  • Required for a 40hour work week yet available for more if needed with flexibility within a 7day week including some evenings if required.
  • May be required to work offsite and travel at times. Can freely enter the USA.
  • The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud
  • Ability to lift supplies, boxes, set up tents, tables, chairs, loading truck and trailer with other props etc. Responsible for the store supplies of promotional equipment and electronics and kept tidy and secure.
  • The ability to push and maneuver a heavyweight motorcycle would be a strong asset.
