Description
There is an exciting opportunity for a Building Operator to join our Commercial Property Management Team. The Building Operator is responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and smooth operation.

In this role you will work with Property Managers to ensure that a high level of service and appearance is provided to all buildings and properties.

This role is based in North Vancouver.

About you:

  • Work in conjunction with the Property Management Department, Contractors and other staff to ensure buildings, suites and common areas are maintained in a "A" Class condition
  • General site cleaning
  • All common area garbage receptacles within the complex will be emptied along with wiping of all common area exterior waste receptacles and all common area benches/chairs
  • All graffiti will be removed with an ecofriendly project which will not damage surface
  • Removing all exterior advertising/ posters advertising
  • Coordinating trades
  • Maintain parking lot
  • Maintain sidewalks and perimeter of building
  • Report any lighting issue, and replace light bulbs/lamps and clean fixtures
  • Immediately notify Property Manager of any tenants which might be/have skipped out and vacated their unit
  • Assist with supervision with tenant improvement projects
  • Assist with supervision on capital expenditure projects
  • Perform Tenant Walkthrough Inspections with tenants prior to handover
  • Ensure all Tenant Walkthrough deficiencies are completed & signed off
  • Must complete Quality Control Checklists and document all concerns with photos and submit to Property Manager for review/action
  • Review and complete service requests items submitted by Tenants
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the management team
  • Provide weekly

Summary of Qualifications & Requirements:


  • Willing to work overtime in the event of emergency/available for oncall duty
  • Must have a class 5 drivers license and a reliable vehicle
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal English
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
