    The Specialty Operator performs a variety of tasks while working outside in variable conditions. The position requires the successful candidate to be detail orientated and physically fit with the ability to complete manual labour tasks. A minimum Class 5 license is required.

    Job Overview and Responsibilities

    • Safely and skillfully operate a variety of heavy mobile equipment such as dozers, loaders and track hoes to excavate, grade and move material
    • Completing pre and post trip inspections as required
    • Minor truck and equipment maintenance
    • Understand grades and slopes in relation to the job
    • Excavating
    • Backfilling
    • Clean up sites
    • Occasional labour work
    • Comply with safe working procedures and practices
    • Requires a flexible work schedule including overtime, weekend and out of town work as required during the construction season (May November)
    • Other duties as required
