Position Overview

We are a fast-growing, local construction company looking for General Labourers to take up manual labor tasks and provide support to members of the construction team.

The construction team relies on you to keep worksites free of debris, to transport tools, materials, and equipment and to perform repetitive heavy lifting.

You play a key role in ensuring smooth operations of our worksites.

Challenges

Physically demanding job with repetitive tasks; this job is tough BUT important
Nontraditional hours, including evenings and weekends may be needed

Key Accountabilities and Supporting Tasks

Perform general manual labor tasks as assigned by direct supervisor
Clean up worksites to ensure they are free of debris and obsolete materials
Assist carpenters, painters, and other tradespeople onsite as necessary
Load and unload materials, tools and/or equipment
Act as spotter for trucks and other heavy equipment

Qualifications

Must-have:

Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends
Ability to meet physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy load of up to 40 lbs etc.)
Ability to follow instructions in verbal English

Nice-to-have:
Experience using power tools and machinery
