Position Overview
An established litigation practice is seeking an experienced Licensed Paralegal or Litigation Law Clerk to provide comprehensive support to senior litigation counsel in a plaintiff-side personal injury practice.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in personal injury litigation (plaintiff or defence) and possess a university degree.
This role requires a self-driven professional who takes ownership of results and thrives in a fast-paced, contingency-based litigation environment.This position may be performed in-office, hybrid, or fully remote within Ontario.
Key Responsibilities
Case Management & Litigation Support
Independently manage and advance plaintiff personal injury files under lawyer supervision.
Support files from intake and pre-litigation through discovery, mediation, pre-trial, and trial.
Ensure all tort and accident benefits files are consistently progressing toward resolution.
Develop and execute quarterly case plans with counsel to move matters toward timely settlement or trial readiness.
Assist in preparing lawyers for discovery, mediation, pre-trial conferences, and trial.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Meet with clients and assist in building and developing cases from inception.
Maintain proactive communication with clients to support file progression.
Coordinate and supervise external vendors including investigators, process servers, medical providers, and expert witnesses.
Performance & Results
Contribute to achieving consistent, fair, and timely settlements.
Support weekly and quarterly litigation targets.
Maintain an organized litigation calendar and ensure deadlines and procedural requirements are met.
Demonstrate strong file ownership and accountability in advancing cases weekly.
Professional Development
Engage in continuing legal education and actively pursue skill development in litigation practice.
Qualifications
Licensed Paralegal (Ontario) or experienced Litigation Law Clerk
Minimum 2 years' experience in personal injury litigation (plaintiff or defence)
University degree required
Strong understanding of Ontario tort and accident benefits litigation processes
Ability to manage multiple active files in a results-driven environment

$60,000–$75,000, commensurate with experience
