In House Legal Counsel

  • Provide quality and timely legal advice to internal business partners and stakeholders, including negotiating, drafting and interpreting contracts.
- working with internal stakeholders, internal and external counsel, and other service providers to deliver desired outcomes on legal matters.

  • Draft and revise agreements, releases, and other legal documentation
  • Regularly communicate with business partners across business lines, Legal colleagues, as well as external and opposing counsel about contractual and claims issues

Qualifications

  • Be a practicing lawyer and member of the Law Society of Ontario
  • 5+ years experience working in a major law firm or inhouse legal counsel in a corporate / commercial capacity
  • Strong business acumen with experience drafting and negotiating commercial arrangements
  • Thrive in a fastpaced growing business and have the flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
