Position:
Electronic Graphics, News (BNN Bloomberg)


Location: 299 Queen St West - Toronto

Salary:
Unifor 723M, Group D -Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Full-time position. Shift is daytime. Overtime as required


Responsibilities:


  • Work in a highenergy newsroom environment with a variety of producers, writers, and editors
  • Execute and deliver graphics across various servers, character generator playout, and iNews lineup
  • Create editorialthemed images in the JPG, PNG, PSD formats. Templated video promos in MOV formats
  • Tackle requests with quick turnaround and modification of existing templates of branded elements, fonts, logos, colours
  • Recommend and design original images for editorial programming

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 3 years graphic production experience in a news or production environment
  • Proficiency and regular usage of Adobe Creative Suite is essential (Photoshop/After Effects are primary tools)
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to selfmanage multiple tasks and shifting deadlines
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines and timeline pressure
  • Strong interpretive skills (notes, sketches, financial data, templates)
  • Experience with PC and or Mac desktop systems
  • Experience/familiarity with broadcast systems X-Pression, Chyron, iNews newsroom
  • Experience with office computer programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of the principles of picture composition and production procedures
  • Strong multitasking skills
  • Excellent creative and communication skills
