About the role

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a
Regular full-time Manager, Business Development and Integration to join our dynamic Interprovincial Organ Sharing(IPOS) Program in Organ and Tissue Donation(ODT) in the
Medical Affairs and Innovation (MAI) division ODT.

The
Medical Affairs and Innovation division, is responsible for overseeing Canadian Blood Services national organ sharing program.


In this role, you will be responsible for evolving the strategic relationship between all (Interprovincial Organ Sharing) IPOS programs, and the Canadian Transplant Registry (CTR) IT team.

Working closely with the IPOS Associate Director, Senior Project Manager and the CTR software manager you will focus on strategy alignment and on-going relationship development utilizing influence on both IT and the business area, as well as development and oversight of the programs, customer support, business continuity and risk management functions.

You will coordinate the activities of internal and external stakeholders to ensure the availability, integration, and currency of all IT (CTR teams) systems used in the IPOS programs, including the integration of customer support, business continuity and risk management plans.


Formula for success

  • Drawing on your interpersonal, business, and technical acumen, you will assess and influence strategy between IT and the business to ensure alignment, manage ongoing prioritization of the business and IT roadmap, create a deep understanding of strategies amongst all key stakeholders and ensure all strategies are translated into demonstrable actions and results.
  • Utilizing your analytical and problemsolving skills, you will monitor programs to ensure both the business area and IT are executing on their defined strategies by exercising your ability to collaborate with IPOS leadership and leveraging your ability to influence and introduce mitigations to ensure execution; you will provide insight into strategic areas that are underperforming and present rectifying solutions.
  • Leveraging your leadership and collaboration skills, you will act as the point of contact for all technical and user requirements for IT systems used by IPOS programs; by working with IT partners, the business, and IPOS leadership to find, develop, schedule and implement solutions.
  • Leveraging your project management skills, you will develop project plans and lead initiatives to further the development of the business continuity program within the IPOS program by partnering with CBS Management and leadership to assess requirements for business continuity/recovery plans, identify and prioritize work required to allow for the continuous improvement of these plans and align with Senior Project Managers, IT Managers and project teams to allow for efficient and effective implementation of approve projects.
  • Drawing on your experience and knowledge, you will represent and coordinate the management of any IPOS business continuity/recovery activities, representing CBS externally to review stakeholder BCM plans and identify and assess impacts and dependencies on CBS and coordinate internally.
  • Utilizing your analytical and partnering skills, you will develop and maintain a Risk Management register and plan for IPOS program; collaborating with Enterprise Risk Management with the development of plans, ensuring plans incorporate regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Other responsibilities as required; mentoring and coaching direct reports, including performance management; preparing reports for federal and provincial funders as well as internal management committees; lead and support the KPD Program of Living Donation and Transplantation program in Canada.

Desired education and skills

  • Completion of Post-Secondary Education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution, preferably a University Degree
