As the
Warehouse Lead Hand you will be responsible for the efficient operation of the warehouse facility, ensuring the loading and unloading of trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
The Lead Hand ensures all operators complete daily forklift inspection and production reports and helps the Manager to ensure all employees follow procedures and bring any problems to their attention.
Specific Responsibilities include:
- Safe Operations of all equipment.
- Responsible for unloading and loading of paper products, railcars, and trailers.
- Documentation of all product code numbers for bills of lading on outbound loads.
- Ensuring that the product is properly packaged for outbound shipments.
- Assisting in and load transfers either with forklift or by hand.
- Keeping track of all product movement in the Warehouse.
- Completing Forklift inspection and employee production sheets on daily basis.
- Responsible for general housekeeping.
- Responsible for tracking all daily, WTD, MTD, YTD employee production reports.
- 23 years warehouse experience.
- Strong organizational skills with a clear sense of urgency about planning and executing work.
- Ability to maintain composure, effectiveness and flexibility under pressure.
- Experience managing various transportation services in a warehouse.
- Certified Forklift Operator.
Hours of work include:
Sunday to Thursday, 12:00 - 20:30.**
