What you'll do:

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Production planning including: GFS procession, Pre-pack determination, job docket preparation, making bundle size, print orders and insert list, etc.
  • Ensuring timely accurate communication and allocation of information to appropriate departments and customers.
  • Job bag completion saving and importing insert stats for all publications.
  • Data entry and completion of production reports and monthly packaging invoicing, for Accounts Receivable.
  • Saving insert stats and update IRIS.
  • Prepare, organize and print out necessary documentation for production.
  • Prepare affidavits for flyers received and inserted.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Investigating customer complaints.
  • Follow up on missing or additional inserts with the clients.
  • Assist in entering receiving log information as required.
  • To assist inserter operators during insert production.
  • Other tasks as related to distribution support centre.
  • Following up on nonconfirming inserts, coordinating shipment of product, printing skids tags and BOL's.
  • Perform weekly inventory count of logistic materials.
  • Filing Bill of Lading according to the publication.
  • Assisting shippers to load unload when necessary.
  • Coordinate the material handling and shipment of all inbound/outbound deliveries.
  • Oversee the quality control process for the flyer receiving process, including schedule delivery appointments for all incoming deliveries; maintain accurate records for flyer deliveries.
  • Crossreference deliveries with insert orders; develop staging system and work with Tow Motor Operators to ensure products received are staged properly and identified according to publication, flyer ID, insert date, quantity.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers to communicate flyer related delivery problems to affected associates for resolution such as, shortages/overages of inserts received, damaged deliveries, delivery refusals, outstanding flyers deliveries, etc.
  • Create and maintain all transportationrelated documents for each outbound and inbound shipment pertaining to production (bill of lading, customs, postal paperwork, etc.).
  • Ensure shipping schedule is followed in order to meet customer requirements.
  • Support Tow Motor Operator with required information, assigning daily tasks to fulfill production orders.
  • Know what to do when receipt of flyers does not conform to specification.
  • Complete Product Receiving Check list upon receipt of nonconforming products
Health & Safety

  • Know what to do in case of emergency.
  • Follow and ensure staff follows H&S rules and regulations.
  • Ensure daily material handling equipment logs are completed as required.
  • Participate in any and all training provided by the company.
Team Work

  • Assist in shipping and receiving.
  • Assist Line Master, MSD Operators and Team Leads with production preparations, when available.
  • Communicate any pertinent information to DC Management, Line Master or MSD Operator.
  • Support personnel with required information to fulfill orders.
Shipping of Product

  • Identify and ship office and store copies as per customer requirements (update Daily Checklist of Weekly Standing Order List in binder).
  • Follow up with shippers to ensure the person shipping completes a detailed Bill of Lading for each shipment with the following:
  • Date, Arrival and departure of truck trim
  • Store copies, office copies, quantity of name of product
  • Signature of person shipping as well as person picking up product
  • Skid specifications are prepared as per customer requirements.
  • Ensure shipping schedule is followed in order to meet customer requirements.
Job Preparation

  • Provide Tow Motor Operator documentation of production runs and required inserts.
  • Ensure inserts are staged correctly.
  • Confirm flyers pulled for the GFS's by motor operators are correct (i.e. version, date, quantity)
  • Prepare skid tags and Bills of Lading.
  • Inform person managing the shift of inserts that are not available for insertion.

Who you are:


  • Understanding of the Distribution Center Production process
  • Prior experience working in a production/shipping environment, with working knowledge of trucking and loading requirements is mandatory
