About Covenant House:

Since 1997, Covenant House Vancouver has provided essential and relentless support for youth experiencing, or at-risk of experiencing, homelessness.

We provide support to youth ages 16 to 24 who have experienced a wide range of early life and ongoing, complex trauma including physical, sexual, emotional abuse, and neglect.

Our purpose is to serve all youth with absolute respect and unconditional love, to help youth experiencing homelessness, and provide a safe and supportive environment for all youth in need.


The Impact the Employee Experience Lead with our People & Culture team can make:

Our Employee experience Lead will work alongside our People and Culture team to deliver innovative and creative ways to improve performance, satisfaction, and the overall experience in the workplace.

You will develop and support initiatives that lead to positive impact in employee engagement and agency culture while aligning with strategic goals.

The Employee Experience Lead will collaborate across the organization, to manage employee programs including engagement, employer branding, culture, internal communication, recognition, and wellness.

They are the lead resource for change management in the agency, and work with employees and leaders across all departments in the development and strengthening of programs and initiatives to provide a workplace where employees say I "LOVE" working at Covenant House.


How you will contribute:


  • Manage annual thirdparty engagement review process, including partner selection, survey design, survey admin, and results communication.
  • Work with our HR Advisor to review and track departmental engagement action plans
  • Together with the Manager of Employee Services, update and promote Covenant House Vancouver's employer brand
  • Coordinate seasonal and ongoing Engagement activities
  • Identify and implement programs and processes to promote Covenant House Vancouver's workplace culture
  • Manage CHV branded clothing program
  • Manage multiple internal communications channels, including weekly staff updates, intranet, anonymous feedback channel, and bulletin boards
  • Manage all recognition programs including peer recognition, service awards, and our annual employee excellence awards
  • Lead all employee recognition efforts such as special events and team building activities
  • Coordinate annual employee holiday party and Renewal (with agencywide committee assistance)
  • Manage and improve wellness initiatives/programs such as Workplace Wellness Month and Mental Health Week
  • Champion organization wide Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives
  • Create and implement new change management practices and advise departments in change management best practices

Who are we looking for?:


Education and Experience:


  • 2 years of work experience in Human Resources, Marketing & Communications or Event Planning
  • A proven track record of creating and implementing new ideas and programs

Skills & Abilities:


  • Employeefocused and have worked to improve the employee experience at a previous workplace
  • Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills to gather and present information and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with skill, tact and diplomacy.

The starting salary range for this position is $57, $71,835.
