ContextI'm a DBA (doctoral) candidate moving into the methodology + pilot phase of my research.
I'm looking for an experienced quantitative researcher/statistician to review my methodology (Chapter 3) and help ensure my questionnaire and analysis plan are solid before I launch the full survey.
What I need help with (scope)Chapter 3 (Methodology) review & strengthening
Check coherence of research design (quantitative, cross-sectional survey)
Confirm alignment between:
research questions → hypotheses → constructs → measurement items → analysis plan
Improve clarity and academic rigor (e.g., sampling strategy, data collection approach, ethical considerations, common method bias considerations, etc.)
Suggest concrete edits / rewording where needed (track-changes style feedback is ideal)
Questionnaire review & instrument quality
Review items for construct coverage, redundancy, wording clarity, and scale consistency
Recommend improvements to ensure suitability for reliability/validity testing
Ensure items reflect the hypothesized model (incl. mediation/moderation constructs)
Pilot study support (~50 respondents)
Guide pilot execution and data checks
Run / guide:
Cronbach's alpha, item-total analysis, exploratory checks, KMO & Bartlett, and recommendations for item refinement
If relevant to the chosen approach: initial CFA/measurement model guidance
Analysis roadmap for full study (6–9 months)
Recommend the best analysis approach given the model (e.g., regression/PROCESS vs SEM-PLS/CB-SEM)
Provide a step-by-step plan: data cleaning → measurement validation → hypothesis testing → reporting
Support with interpretation + how to report results in thesis format
Deliverables I expect
Written feedback on Chapter 3 (structured comments + suggested edits)
A revised/improved questionnaire (or a clear change list)
Pilot results summary + recommendations (what to keep/change/remove)
A clear analysis plan for the full dataset + reporting guidance
Tools / preferences
SPSS is fine; SEM experience (AMOS/SmartPLS/R/lavaan) is a plus. I value clear communication and practical guidance, not just theory.
Working style
Start with a short kickoff call to confirm scope and approach
Weekly or bi-weekly check-ins are okay
Milestone-based work preferred
Note on materials
I have existing drafts (Chapter 1–3 and current questionnaire draft). More detailed documents and background can be shared separately after initial contact (and NDA if needed).
Please include in your proposal:
Relevant academic/statistics experience (pilot studies, scale validation, SEM/mediation/moderation)
Preferred tools (SPSS/SmartPLS/R, etc.)
A suggested approach and estimated effort per milestone
Contract duration of 3 to 6 months. with 30 hours per week.
