Salary:

$ $49.70, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement. Temporary employees receive an additional $0.50/hour in lieu of benefits, 6% vacation and 4.2% statutory holiday pay included with each pay.

Description:

The contract will consist of 45 hours of lecture + 30 hours of lab + additional prep time for a total of 142.5 hours.

**QUALIFICATIONS:

_Required:
_

Master's Degree in Environmental Sciences, or closely related field, or a combination of education and experience may be considered.
Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills
Commitment to student motivation and success; and the
Ability to function effectively as a team member through collaborative approaches to course pedagogy.

_ Preferred:
_

PhD in Environmental Sciences, or a closely related field
Five years of work experience in a related discipline, including a significant amount of field work as part of the work experience.
Experience in reclamation and remediation in the oil and gas industry in northeastern BC.
The Provincial Instructor Diploma Program or an equivalent credential in adult education.
Demonstrable success as an instructor in a postsecondary environment.
