Traxxside specializes in the bulk transloading and transportation of food and feed grade grains, organic products, and industrial products from rail cars and trucks.
Our terminal is located in the North end of Guelph, Ontario. We are seeking full-time short haul company drivers to join our team. We have steady year-round dedicated local runs, home after every shift. No cross border or interprovincial runs. We take pride in our fleet's appearance and mechanical condition.Making sure our drivers are safe, comfortable and equipped with right tools to do the job is important to us.
Our drivers are our company ambassadors to the public and our customers As such, you will always part of the day to day conversations and planning with our customers and with our management team as our business grows
In addition to the safe operation of a commercial vehicle, you will load and unload dry bulk materials, operate truck scale systems and follow food safety practices.

Minimum Driving Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of two years experience driving Class 8 tractortrailer. combinations with GVW greater than 4800 kgs up to 63,500 kgs.
- Must have experience hauling bulk materials.
- Clean drivers abstract.
- Must be 25 years of age and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Can read, write and speak the English effectively.
- Must be capable of meeting the physical demands of the job.
- Must satisfactorily complete a road test and paid training period.
- Grade12 education.
- Familiarity/previous training with HACCP protocols an asset.
- Experience hauling bulk materials in end dumps, hopper bottoms and pneumatic trailers.
- Detail oriented and able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work well in a fastpaced environment with frequently changing dynamics.
- Superior customer service and communication, time management & organizational skills.
- Team player with positive attitude.
- Good attendance and punctuality are a must.
- Ability to lift up to 25 kgs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely operate and drive tractortrailer trucks, weighing over 4600 kg with five or more axles up to 63,500 kgs.
- Oversee all aspects of vehicles, such as condition of equipment, loading and unloading, and safety and security of cargo.
- Perform pretrip inspection of vehicle systems and equipment such as tires, lights, and brakes.
- Communicate respectfully to your colleagues, supervisors and customers.
- Maintain a clean cab interior.
- Communicate with supervisor and other drivers using smart phone and CB radio
