VIP Powerline Ltd has more than 30 years of experience in distribution and transmission construction.

We are a locally owned and operated business providing highly specialized electrical services across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.

We are excited to announce that we are hiring a full-time, permanent Labourer to commence work on current and upcoming projects in the Nanaimo area.

VIP is looking for an experienced, highly dependable Labourer who will be responsible for:

• Setting up, organizing, and maintaining the job site,
• Assisting with excavation and compaction,
• Leveling earth and groundworks,
• Operating specialty tools and equipment, and
• Following safe work practices, company policies, and direction of supervisors.

Signatory to the Local 258 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, VIP offers apprenticeships to those who are qualified and interested in becoming a Red Seal Journeyman Powerline Technician.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum one year experience in construction,
• High school diploma,
• Valid driver's license,
• Traffic control certification considered an asset,
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently produce work of highquality and accuracy,

• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
