Duties and responsibilities:

The Shipper/Warehouse Technician coordinates the warehouse activity and is responsible for the packing and shipping of recyclable materials using the crushing machinery and depot equipment.

Duties include:

Preparing containers and nonlegislated materials for shipping, which may include sorting, crushing, packing, and palletizing materials
Loading and unloading trailers by hand or using depot equipment (ie: pallet jack, forklift, etc.) and completing related paperwork
Maintaining the depot building and equipment, performing cleaning duties as needed
Bending, climbing, stretching, lifting, toting, and standing for long periods of time is required
Follow safety procedures and safe work practices in compliance with policies
Attend training and workshops as required
Perform all other duties as assigned
Work as part of a team

Qualifications:

Forklift certificate; or must achieve with onthejob training within the first two weeks
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is required
Physical stamina (position requires standing for long periods of time)
Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
