Description

Reporting to the General Sales Manager, the
Delivery Specialist (Volvo Metro West) is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles scheduled for delivery are processed timely and with precision.

This individual is an excellent communicator and collaborator with a strong knowledge in customer satisfaction.

The Delivery Coordinator will work closely with the General Sales Manager, F&I Managers and other members of the Sales Team, providing a detailed explanation to customers regarding their new vehicle.


The individual will perform end-to-end activities necessary to process new vehicles, including providing a detailed explanation to customers regarding their new vehicles and working with other departments to ensure the vehicle is prepared prior to the customer's pick up date and time.

The
Delivery Specialist will also perform a variety of other tasks related to the delivery of the vehicles, such as reviewing and explaining sales agreement with the customers to ensure vehicle, options and price are correct, ensuring that all required paperwork is completed and collected and thoroughly explaining new vehicle technology and features.


Responsibilities

Delivery Specialist

  • Responsible for ensuring complete customer satisfaction from the time that the F&I process is complete until the customer drives off the lot
  • Complete a detailed explanation to customers regarding their new vehicle
  • Work with other departments to ensure the vehicle is prepared prior to customer's pick up date and time, ensuring that all vehicles scheduled for delivery are properly prepped (detailed), licensed, fueled, tire pressures set accurately, floor liners and wheel locks included, no check engine or other warning lights, and such
  • Review and explain sales agreements with the customers to ensure vehicle, options and price are correct
  • Act as the product expert within the store, especially with respect to emerging technologies
  • Other duties as assigned by the General Sales Manager such as: transporting vehicles from the lot to the third floor

Expectations & Metrics

  • Responsible for delivering on average 3 vehicles per day for a total of 800 vehicles in a fiscal year
  • All paperwork must be completed 24 hours prior to delivering a vehicle (with the exception of a quick sale)
  • Responsible for assessing and cleaning up the showroom and lot to ensure that both the showroom and lot are organized

Continuous Learning & Improvement

  • Required to participate in orientation, delivery training program, selfassessments and coaching sessions and demonstrations with managers
  • Complete HDE training and regularly participate in product knowledge training

CXI & Mystery Shops

  • Required to thoroughly understand how CXI and Mystery Shops affect dealership processes to provide exceptional customer service when delivering vehicles
  • Expected to have a thorough understanding of the Delivery of new vehicle process including the following:
  • The Delivery Specialist greets the Customer in a friendly and upbeat manner.
  • The Delivery specialist runs through the car and its features with the Customer.
  • The Delivery specialist will use Volvo's Delivery Tool on every Volvo delivery
  • The Delivery specialist performs a walk-around of key features with the Customer.
  • The Delivery specialist answers Customer questions, if any.
  • The Delivery specialist thanks the Customer for their business.

Qualifications & Traits

  • Valid G Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to perform research and understand products
