Whyte's Foods is a family-owned food processing business that began in
1892 and is the largest producer of pickles, relish and maraschino cherries in Canada. We are currently looking to hire a sanitation worker for our night shift at the Wallaceburg facility
. Starting rate of $21.00 per hour (includes $2.00 night shift premium).
Main responsibilities:
- Responsible for nightly line cleaning and sanitation.
- Use chemicals and cleaning agents to clean and sanitize various food manufacturing equipment.
- Disassemble, thoroughly clean, and reassemble large machinery and equipment.
- Assist coworkers if necessary.
- Attend all training for Sanitation, Health & Safety, and Food Safety.
- Adhere to and maintain compliance to all company policies, rules, and regulations.
- Other related tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience in a Sanitation department.
- Available to work straight night shift ( 11pm 7:30 am) Monday
- Friday.
- Must be physically capable to perform strenuous manual labour such as moving heavy machinery.
- Must be able to wear all appropriate safety equipment.
- Able to work independently and as a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Working at Heights certification considered an asset.
