Your daily role:


Within an expanding company and reporting to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, your mission consists of defining a strategy for evaluating and improving risk management and internal control for administrative and industrial sites across North America.

The areas of intervention can be financial, IT, environmental and organizational.

This role fits within a company with growth ambitions through acquisitions and will be required to develop a team of internal audit professionals.


THE ROLE:


  • Lead an independent audit structure, in accordance with the Internal Audit charter;
  • Establish the map of financial, accounting, IT, environmental and organizational risks of the audited scope and ensure its periodic updating;
  • Audit the effectiveness of internal financial controls and their management (control of internal controls);
  • Provide objective and independent advice to ensure the validity, legality and achievement of objectives;
  • Write corrective action plans and support the entity in their implementation;
  • Define an audit plan for 15 sites in North America (13 production sites and 2 corporate sites) in collaboration with the management committee;
  • Write audit reports, identify and recommend areas for improvement in order to optimize processes;
  • Present the audit reports to the management committee and/or those responsible for the audited area;
  • Carry out special missions proposed by the management team, the Audit Committee or the Board of Directors, according to operational needs;
  • Ensure the followup and implementation of audit recommendations within a reasonable time frame;
  • Ensure that the company's internal control manual is updated;
  • Propose and monitor the implementation of the IT control tools necessary to fulfill the responsibilities assigned;
  • Identify and contribute to the promotion of good practices within the company.

Your profile

Minimum 10 years of professional experience including a minimum of 5 years in a management role in audit and internal control which has allowed you to master the risk analysis methodology;:

Ideally, you began your career in an audit firm and then worked in internal audit in a company based in North America, preferably in the agri-food industry;:

University degree in finance and/or accounting or relevant field;:

CIA certification (mandatory) and CISA (optional);:

Experience in information technology auditing, food safety, risk management, financial internal control, project management or data analysis is an asset;:

Experience in implementing a strategic internal audit plan;:

Autonomy, organization and sense of analysis (especially data);:

You know how to create good relationships with your colleagues and with a variety of people at all levels;:

Proficiency in English and French is essential;:

Ability to synthesize complex information and present it to executive audiences;:

You take initiatives and have a good capacity to adapt;:

Taste for traveling (frequent trips to be expected, including trips to the US)
