    CAE is looking for Deputy Head of Finance for our client based in Malta.
    Job Title: Deputy Head of Finance.

    Key Responsibilities
  • Liaising with the Head of Finance on the day-to-day operations.
  • Maintaining accurate accounting records.
  • Assisting in the month end process leading to the submission of accurate monthly management accounts.
  • Responsible for the posting of invoices and journals in our accounting software tool.
  • Preparation and submitting of VAT returns on a timely basis.
  • Drafting of policies, procedures and controls.
  • Liaising with and supporting external auditors.
  • Assist the Head of Finance in the budgeting process.
  • Coordinating with the Head of Finance in the implementation of new projects.
  • Assisting the Head of Finance and the team with any ad-hoc requests.
  • Desired skills and experience
  • A University degree in Accountancy or ACCA is a must for this role.
  • A minimum of 10 years, with middle management experience
  • An ability to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks on an individual and team basis, as applicable.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to establish effective relationships both in the immediate team and wider business.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Competence in Excel, general IT and accounting packages.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Previous experience working in Aviation industry will be preferred.
