Dare Foods Limited is a private, family owned portfolio of brands established in 1892. The Dare "Made Better" promise guides everything we do and comes to life through our portfolio of consumer-loved brands including Bear Paws, Breton, REALFRUIT, Boulangerie Grissol, and Whippet (to name just a few). Our head office is in Cambridge Ontario. We have been located in the Kitchener area since the family's original store opened in 1892.


Production and Materials Planner (Hybrid)
We are looking for one full time Production and Materials Planner to join our team. This position will be based in our Cambridge plant with some hybrid work flexibility.


Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Development and maintenance of the production schedule.
  • Ordering and monitoring optimized levels of raw and operating materials.
  • Optimal inventory levels while ensuring customer service targets are met.
  • Communicate with Corporate Supply Chain regarding performance.
  • Working with the Production team for optimal plant efficiency.
  • Working with internal departments to satisfy external customer's needs.
  • Establish and implement continuous improvement projects.
  • Manage an effective cycle count program.

The successful applicant will have:


  • A postsecondary degree/diploma or equivalent experience in manufacturing, operations, food manufacturing or related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience, with an understanding of MRP and Production Planning, the company's products and its approach to Order Management and Demand Planning.
  • Team oriented, selfmotivated and highly organized.
  • A strong analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Power Point, Excel, Word)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Selfmotivated with a positive attitude.
  • Experience managing virtual teams.
  • Ability to perform tasks independently.
  • Experience with SAP and IBP process development is an asset.

  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:
