Description

Voyago is hiring Dedicated Charter Bus Drivers for our Ottawa. The role is focused on our growing business in Charter Opportunities.

Your role

  • You are responsible for driving company owned vehicles in a safe and professional manner transporting Retail and Schools customers to their destination.
  • You will ensure passenger safety while boarding and exiting buses.
  • You will be responsible for performing pre/post
- trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal vehicle safety.

  • You will help fuel and maintain the cleanliness of the bus.
  • You will have the opportunity for full time hours driving charters on weekdays, weekends and evenings, sometimes with overnight stays
  • You will not be confined to the Schools Calendar as a school bus driver is
  • You will have opportunities to work charters on any day of the week, including Statutory Holidays, School Holidays and during the Summer Break (July and August).
  • For times when Charters are not scheduled, you will be able to realize your full time hours with spare driver work either within Schools or as a transfer driver between yards. We will continue to adhere to MTO Guidelines for Hours of Service within your role(s)

Requirements:


Your Profile

  • You have an Ontario B class license
  • You possess a clean driving record and Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector Screening
  • You have excellent proven customer service experience.
  • You have an indepth knowledge of Ottawa and a wide surrounding area. Familiarity with other city driving (ex. Montreal, Toronto etc)
  • You display confidence in navigating long highway travel situations as well as dense urban driving in large cities.
  • You are excited about embracing the unique duties of an intercity charter driver.
  • You have good organization and communication skills.
  • You are available to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to travel long distances in all types of weather
  • You have an understanding of vehicle for hire industry.
  • You have knowledge of wheelchair tie downs and qstraint.
  • Agree to adhere to Uniform Requirements.
  • You thrive in an environment that allows you to provide a high degree of customer service in a fastpaced work environment.
  • You are be eager to represent the Voyago brand to maintain our respected reputation in the transportation industry.

Your Location

  • Your vehicle will be held and maintained, and your jobs will be dispatched from, our West Ottawa office but the charter business opportunities may take you to destinations outside Ottawa city limits.
