As a Marketing Manager, you are responsible for leading the development and growth of our social media and marketing initiatives.
Your focus is to ensure that our marketing efforts through our social media, website, and in-store campaigns are creative, successful, and ultimately drive increased business for the organization.
You achieve this by ensuring our marketing is consistent and accurate, reporting on marketing investments and proposing changes for enhanced results, and leading new and existing marketing campaigns.
You are relied upon to provide direction to our marketing team members through review of marketing materials, managing and maintaining timelines on projects across the team, and leading new marketing ideas that result in sales conversions from our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Create and develop online ads for search and social platforms
- Lead the Graphics Department in providing inhouse graphic services for catalogue production, web and print advertisements, store signage, and product packaging
- Host team huddles and meetings to review goals and objectives, and to provide insight on team performance, process changes, updates, and announcements
- Review, revise, and approve marketing content for print and instore retail use
- Organize the marketing calendar and track promotional results
- Monitor and report on ad performance and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing efforts
- Provide strategic oversight for the company social media accounts across multiple platforms
- Coordinator and plan marketing events such as trade shows, customer events, and other initiatives
- Manage the coordinator and creation the production of semiannual product cataloges
- Act as a key contributor for crossfunctional projects, working with departments including customer support, purchasing, logistics, warehouse operations, retail operations, graphic design and IT
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role
- Experience working for a omnichannel or retailer
- University or College level education in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related area of study
- Experience working with print materials, radio and video media and developing branded promotional content
- Intermediate level knowledge of the Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
- Previous experience working in marketing or advertising
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and coaching to team members
- Strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills
- Team player with strong ability to meet deadlines
- This role reports to the Director of Marketing
- The role is based out of our Woodlawn location in Guelph, Ontario
- This is a fulltime opportunity operating Monday-Friday, with additional overtime hours in peak seasons
- This position may operate under flexible work hours and partial remote work arrangements following completion of the training period
