- Minimum 3 years of professional translation experience, preferably within financial services, asset management, or a related regulated industry.
- Fully bilingual in English and French, with expert-level written French.
- Bachelor's degree in Translation from a recognized institution, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong copy-editing and proofreading skills.
- Ability to understand English source context and deliver nuanced, accurate French translations.
- Familiarity with financial terminology and marketing communications.

Role summary:
We are looking for a Translator to join our Marketing team to support Canoe Financial's bilingual brand presence and communications across Canada. You will be responsible for the translation, editing, proofreading, and coordination of French-language content across Canoe's marketing and corporate communications. This role is directly accountable for ensuring that all French materials are accurate, compliant, culturally appropriate, and fully aligned with approved English content.
You will translate and adapt a wide range of materials, including retail and institutional sales support, marketing collateral, advertising campaigns, press releases, web content, and internal communications—while preserving Canoe's brand voice and the integrity of its messaging. The ideal candidate can confidently gather context from English source materials and deliver clear, precise, and polished Canadian French translations.
