The Opportunity
The
Finance Transformation Specialist works as an individual contributor committed to delivering actionable business insights on the Finance department's operational performance. This position is responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement, leading change across the department, and driving tactical improvements in finance operational processes.
The Role:

Business Process Improvement:
- Identifying opportunities for improvements, project planning, implementation
- Standardizing Finance business improvement processes and templates
- Identifying finance industry process best practices and implementing them at SAIT
- Prepare business cases, project charters, and other project management documents
- Change management activities
- Understanding and documenting business requirements
- Documentation such as process mapping, standard operating procedures, training, and communication documents
- Work across Finance and departments that interact with Finance processes to build relationships, understand opportunities and challenges.
- Be a change agent and promote change management techniques across the Finance department.
- **Other Responsibilities**:
- Support change within the Finance department for business process and system changes in alignment with current strategic direction
- Solution complex business challenges based on guidance/direction from the Manager, Finance Transformation or from Finance Leadership
Qualifications & Experience:
- Post-Secondary degree in Business or related field
- 5+ years related accounting experience
- Business process improvement experience
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (graphs, pivots, merging, linking, modelling
- Business process improvement education such as lean six sigma or similar
Preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
- Project management, change management or leadership experience
- Change management training
Salary range:
$90,000 - $95,000
Paid Leave:4 Weeks Vacation / 14 Flex Days per year
