A Day in the Life


Reporting to Manager, Compliance Counsel, the Compliance Program Manager will engage Supply Chain, Sustainability, Product Quality, Technology and Finance teams at multiple levels across the company to drive effective and efficient operational processes and drive compliance within our Enterprise Compliance Program.

The Compliance Program Manager will manage administration of Enterprise Compliance projects, including Third-Party Risk Management, as well as overall project strategy for Compliance to drive risk mitigation and regulatory compliance activities across the entire organization.

Strong program/project management skills for organizing information, breaking down complex problems, and working effectively in situations involving uncertainty are must-haves.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees strategies for risk and compliance project management.
  • Gathers requirements from crossfunctional partners and produces clear, detailed project plans, including project goals, scope, approach, and overall task plans to provide transparency on critical path tasks.
  • Manages multiple ongoing projects, implements agreed upon program governance and intake processes.
  • Links projects to organizational risk and compliance activities.
  • Produces regular project reports and management updates.
  • Manages RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) matrixes integrated with several workflows.
  • Manages crossfunctional projects to implement improved compliance processes.
  • Drives critical ongoing process improvements for the program.
  • Creates compliance initiatives and trainings and cultivate a cultural emphasis on ethics and compliance.
  • Supports program level global regulatory compliance.
  • Advises Legal Counsel on operationalization of regulatory requirements.
  • Participates in compliance improvement projects to ensure the consistent development and implementation of crossfunctional team projects.
  • Partners and collaborates across the organization to establish and follow up on mitigation plans and business cases for projects resulting from the risk assessments.
  • Applies riskfocused planning for team initiatives, investigations and continuous improvement plans.
  • Applies project and change management principles to project planning and operations.
  • Proactively solicits feedback from crossfunction participants on risk and compliance projects prior to finalizing project related deliverables.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree and/or applicable work experience
  • Experience as a project and program manager is strongly preferred. PMP designation an asset
  • Strong leadership, sound judgment, critical thinking and decisionmaking skills
  • Experience working proactively and collaboratively with other team members to achieve team goals and establish a culture of success and learning within the team
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver results within project driven timelines
  • Specific experience and background in dealing with US, Canada and other countries' regulatory requirements preferred
  • Proficient in program and project management software (JIRA, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to update and influence senior executive leadership
  • Aptitude to learn and manage change
  • Results oriented and successful in driving accountability through influence of crossfunctional team members without direct authority
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to drive execution teams with competing priorities towards project objectives and timelines
  • Ability to successfully manage priorities within deadlines in a complex and rapidly evolving organization
  • Knowledge of retail environment an asset
