Canadian National Railway Company (CN) is looking for a highly motivated person to fulfill a full-time (40h/week) Intern, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion position in Montreal, QC_ _
from May - August 2024.
Job Summary


The Intern, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) is responsible for assisting with the development, design, planning, and execution of CN's diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, events, and special projects.

The incumbent contributes to research, logístical planning, and administration as well as documenting processes. Additionally, the position carries out logístical and administrative duties needed to support the launch of various programs and initiatives.

Major Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement key DE&I programs, including Talent Acquisition, Corporate, and Employee Resource Group initiatives
  • Partner with Communication Leads to coordinate internal and external DE&I communications
  • Collaborate with Corporate social media to support DE&I messaging
  • Research and present for consideration cutting edge DE&I topics, events, practices and approaches
  • Provide thought provoking and impactful programs and event ideas
  • Identify opportunities for increased local involvement and visibility
  • Assist with building and launching the diversity and inclusion data scorecard
  • Develop and analyze the outcomes of DE&I surveys related to programs, events, and overall satisfaction with DE&I program
  • Support the launch and functioning of the DE&I Council

Education

  • Completing or recently completed Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology, Sustainability or related fields
